The Effect of Soybean Isoflavone

Delaying the aging of women, improving menopausal symptoms, osteoporosis, elevated blood lipids, breast cancer, prostate cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, etc. For those with high estrogen level, anti hormone activity can prevent the growth and leukemia of breast, endometrium, colon, prostate, lung, skin and other cancer cells, and other cardiovascular diseases. Soy extract is used as a nutritional supplement. In addition, soy isoflavones significantly reduce the incidence of breast cancer. This result is considered to be associated with its product phytoestrogens. The study also pointed out that eating foods rich in soy isoflavones can help inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells, and those who eat low fat and rich in soy protein are less likely to suffer from (prostate cancer).


Antioxidant effect


Genistein (genistein) contains three phenolic hydroxyl groups 5.7.4, and daidzein contains 7.4 two phenolic hydroxyl groups. The phenolic hydroxyl group acts as an oxygen donor to react with free radicals to produce corresponding ions or molecules, extinguishing radicals and terminating the chain reaction of free radicals. Soy isoflavones also have a clear antioxidation effect on the whole animal, and soybean isoflavone extracts also have obvious inhibitory effect on the increase of peroxide level and the decrease of antioxidant enzyme activity in mice induced by doxorubicin.


Estrogenic effect


Isoflavones are typical phytoestrogens. Soy isoflavones can not only replace estrogen with ER to play estrogen like effects, but also interfere with the combination of estrogen and ER, showing anti estrogenic effect. Soybean isoflavones showed estrogenic activity or estrogenic activity mainly depended on the hormone metabolism state of the subjects themselves. Those with high estrogen levels, such as young animals and estrogenic animals and young women, showed anti estrogen activity, and those with lower levels of estrogen, such as young animals, ovariectomized animals, and menopause women, showed estrogen activity. The estrogenic effect of soy isoflavones has a certain preventive and therapeutic effect on many elderly women with hormone withdrawal related diseases such as blood lipids, atherosclerosis and osteoporosis.


The effect of on the cardiovascular system


Soybean isoflavones can improve the symptoms of myocardial ischemia, dilate blood vessels, inhibit platelet aggregation, reduce cholesterol and triglyceride content in blood, and have the effect of anti arrhythmia through different ways. In the endocrine system, isoflavones are mainly characterized by estrogen like action, which have both excitatory and inhibitory effects like estrogen, and some isoflavones can also affect the reabsorption of bone, so it is beneficial to the treatment of bone disease.


Prevention of Alzheimer's disease


Supplementation of soy isoflavones can reduce blood concentration and prevent certain types of proteins from depositing in the brain to prevent Alzheimer's disease.
